St. Oswald's Parish Church

Dialogue Society North East Branch proudly hosted the 9th South Tyneside Community Corner (C²) at St. Oswald’s Parish Church, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds for a day of friendship, dialogue and community engagement.

The event provided a warm and welcoming space where local residents enjoyed an open buffet brunch, meaningful conversations, cultural activities, live music and opportunities to build new friendships. The uplifting performance by Peddlers added to the vibrant atmosphere, highlighting the role of music in bringing communities together.

We were especially honoured to welcome the Mayor of South Tyneside, Councillor Stan Wild, who joined the gathering and shared inspiring remarks on the importance of community cohesion, volunteering and working together to create a stronger borough.

Community Corner continues to serve as a platform for dialogue, mutual understanding and social connection, encouraging people of all ages, faiths and cultures to meet, learn from one another and celebrate the diversity that enriches South Tyneside.

Dialogue Society extends its sincere thanks to St. Oswald’s Parish Church, South Tyneside Council, STREF, NEDES, and all volunteers, performers, partners and guests whose support made the event such a success.

Together, we continue to build stronger communities through dialogue, friendship and shared experiences—because stronger communities are built when people come together.
