The Worksop Branch proudly hosted its 3rd Annual Community Dialogue Iftar Dinner, bringing together 150 guests from across Worksop and the wider Bassetlaw district. The evening welcomed individuals from diverse faith and non-faith backgrounds, alongside civic leaders, third-sector organisations, and community representatives—creating a warm and inclusive space for dialogue, reflection, and connection during Ramadan.

The event was honoured by the presence of key civic figures including Gary Godden, Jonathan G. Slater, and Julie Leigh. The programme featured opening remarks by Sadik Çınar, followed by speeches emphasising the importance of trust, collaboration, and community cohesion.

The evening offered a rich and culturally vibrant programme, including live music, multicultural cuisine, a live adhan, and a wide range of interactive and artistic activities. Guests engaged in Ebru marbling, henna art, table discussions, an interfaith prayer, and fun activities such as the “pass the gift” game. In addition, a Humanity Cartoons Exhibition was showcased, adding a creative and thought-provoking dimension to the event. These elements created a dynamic environment that celebrated culture, encouraged participation, and deepened connections among attendees.

Supported by over 30 dedicated volunteers, the event was a true reflection of community spirit—full of friendship, cultural exchange, and meaningful dialogue.
