The Liverpool Branch hosted the Warrington Community Dialogue Iftar Dinner at Orford Community Hub, bringing together 80 guests from diverse cultural, faith, and community backgrounds. Delivered in partnership with Warrington Borough Council and Asylum and Refugee Support Warrington, the event created a welcoming and inclusive environment centred on the theme “Building Community Trust.”
The evening featured contributions from distinguished speakers including Sally Peterken, Tugay Yalcin, and Mo Hussain. Their reflections highlighted the importance of solidarity, compassion, and collaboration in supporting diverse communities, particularly refugees and asylum seekers.
The programme offered a rich cultural experience, including live Saz music performed by Dr Hakan Bey, traditional Ebru marbling art led by Ms Hatice, a Kahoot quiz, and a shared meal featuring multicultural food and desserts. The evening concluded with a moment of reflection and a family photo, capturing the spirit of unity and togetherness that defined the event.
