Dialogue Society North East Branch was delighted to host a highly productive and inspiring meeting with the NEAT Academy Trust Headteachers and Senior Leadership Team on 2 October, 2025. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on our shared work, celebrate successes, and explore future collaborations that will continue to benefit schools, families, and local communities.

Over the past two years, Dialogue Society North East has been proud to deliver a range of projects at St Peter’s Church of England Primary School and West Walker Primary School. These initiatives have been met with great enthusiasm and positive outcomes, supporting pupils’ personal development, community engagement, and inclusive learning experiences. The success of these projects stands as a strong example of what can be achieved when organisations work together with a shared purpose.

The meeting focused on:

  • Celebrating our collaborative achievements

  • Exploring new ideas and innovative approaches

  • Identifying exciting opportunities for future school and community projects

These discussions strongly reflected NEAT Academy Trust’s shared purpose to nurture, educate, achieve and transform, and its core values of being aspirational, collaborative, inclusive, innovative, and responsible. Together, we reaffirmed our commitment to creating environments where children and young people feel valued, inspired, and empowered to reach their full potential.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Stephen Gittins, Executive Headteacher at West Walker Primary School; James Dey, Head of School at St Peter’s C of E Aided Primary School, and Richard Allon, Head of West Walker Primary School, for their continued support, leadership, and positive reflections on our partnership. Their insights and encouragement highlight the importance of strong relationships between schools and community organisations.

The meeting was both fruitful and forward-looking, leaving all partners confident that the year ahead will be even more active, impactful, and transformative. We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to work together to enrich educational experiences and strengthen community connections across the North East.
