Blyth Family Hub

We had a truly wonderful morning at Blyth Family Hub celebrating World Neighbours’ Day as part of our Blyth Neighbours Are Connecting Project, delivered in partnership with NEDES.

The day began with a delicious shared breakfast, bringing together local residents, councillors, and partners. Over coffee, tea, and pancakes, neighbours exchanged stories, laughter, and conversation, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that perfectly reflected the spirit of the day.

A highlight of the event was our macramé art workshop, which added a creative and relaxing element to the morning. Participants enjoyed learning new skills, crafting beautiful pieces, and connecting with one another through creativity and shared experiences.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Cllr Kath Nisbet and Blyth Town Council for their generous support, which helped make this event possible. Special thanks also go to Cllr Margaret Richardson and our amazing volunteers—your commitment, enthusiasm, and hard work are at the heart of everything we do.

This event marks just the beginning of many more opportunities to bring neighbours together. We look forward to continuing to build strong connections and a supportive, inclusive community in Blyth.
