The Dialogue Society took a group of Turkish businessman from London to Turkmenistan, to visit the various schools and educational institutions opened by the Turkish community in Central Asia. The trip was attended by a group of twenty businessmen and was also accompanied by former Lord Mayor of the City of Westminster (2001-2002), Lord Harvey Marshall and his wife Hazel Marshall.
The weeklong trip which involved visiting the capital city Ashgabat and the city of Merv, concluded with a reception at the residence of Sir Paul Brummell, British Ambassador to Turkmenistan. Sir Paul expressed his pleasure at hosting a group of entrepreneurs from the UK and answered the many questions directed about trade between the UK and Turkmenistan.
