This month’s highlights include:
- Christmas Gatherings: A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined our “Voices in Unity” Christmas Community Dinners. These events were filled with warmth, meaningful conversations, and a shared spirit of togetherness.
- Exciting Achievements: We are thrilled to announce that our Life of a Chickpea project successfully reached its fundraising target of £20,000 through the Christmas Challenge. We are also delighted to have secured funding for our “Empowering Refugees through Community” project, thanks to The Community Funding.
- Open Doors – A New Initiative: We are proud to launch Open Doors, a project designed to connect long-term and new UK residents through cultural exchange, storytelling, and dialogue.
- Upcoming Events: Scriptural reasoning sessions and Life of a Chickpea workshops scheduled throughout January.

Christmas Gatherings
Throughout December, the Dialogue Society embraced the theme “Voices in Unity” to bring people together and foster dialogue during the festive season. As we gathered across communities, we were reminded of the power of unity in diversity.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas events across various branches. Your presence made our “Voices in Unity” celebrations truly special, filling them with warmth, colour, and harmony. Together, we created moments of connection and dialogue that embodied the true spirit of the season.
Life of a Chickpea
The Life of a Chickpea event, held at Temple Meadow Primary School in Birmingham, celebrated the power of dialogue and interfaith understanding. Esteemed guest speakers shared inspiring insights with students.
Celebrations
The Dialogue Society proudly participated in the Yalda Celebration hosted by Mansfield College, Oxford University. This enriching event fostered cultural exchange and highlighted the spirit of community, offering an opportunity to strengthen connections through shared traditions and dialogue.

Rumi Mosque’s Festive Lunch
Our volunteer attended the Rumi Mosque’s festive lunch. Guests had a wonderful festive lunch with fun games.
Scriptural Reasoning
Our volunteers attended a scriptual reasoning session with the Newcastle Scriptural Reasoning Group on Marriage: Faith and Cultural Perspectives.
Fundraising for Amnesty International

One Donation Twice the Impact
We have reached our target of £20,000 fundraising for Life of a Chickpea project through
Christmas Challenge 2025 organised by The Big Give. Thanks to the Reed Foundation for matching the funds.
Community Fund
We are delighted to get funding for our “Empowering Refugees through Community” project to support and train our volunteers from refugees to engage with community groups. Thanks to the Community Funding for their immense support.
