This month, we celebrate the inspiring connections fostered during Ramadan, with over 6,000 individuals coming together across the UK under our “Voices in Unity” theme. The remarkable success of our events—from large community iftars to intimate home gatherings—highlighted the strength and warmth within our communities.

We’re also excited to share updates from our ongoing projects: the “Diverse Tea, Diverse City” series in Leicester, the thought-provoking “Life of a Chickpea” sessions engaging students nationwide, and impactful Scriptural Reasoning events fostering deeper interfaith understanding.

May offers fresh opportunities to reflect, connect, and grow together. Thank you for your continued support in making meaningful dialogues possible. Let’s keep building unity and understanding!

Diverse Tea, Diverse City

As part of our ongoing Diverse Tea, Diverse City series in Leicester, we were delighted to host two special sessions featuring Indiana Herbal Tea and Sri Lankan Ceylon Tea. Participants had the opportunity to sample this unique blend, sparking engaging conversations around culture, health, and tradition. Events like these remind us how something as simple as a cup of tea can open doors to shared stories and new connections.

Stay tuned for next month’s newsletter, where we’ll highlight the season finale of the Diverse Tea, Diverse City project— held at the University of Lincoln in partnership with COS and supported by Stokes Tea & Coffee!

Life of a Chickpea

Our Life of a Chickpea sessions continue to spark imagination and reflection among students across the UK. Using the metaphor of the humble chickpea and its journey through three different dishes, we explore powerful themes of identity, diversity, and community.

In April, we delivered sessions in Oxford, Sheffield, and Milton Keynes, engaging young minds in meaningful conversations about unity and inclusion.

Movie Talks – Short Movie Discussion

Had an amazing evening at the Short Movie Discussion Night at Bensham Grove Community Centre! We watched three thought-provoking films: The Stone, Homelessness, and The Other Pair. Each film sparked meaningful conversations about the challenges we face in society and the importance of empathy and understanding. A big thanks to everyone who joined us for an inspiring night of reflection and discussion!

Reflecting on Vaisakhi

Last month, communities came together to celebrate Vaisakhi—a time of harvest, hope, and unity. Rooted in gratitude and new beginnings, the spirit of Vaisakhi reminds us of the power of togetherness and reflection. We’re grateful to have shared in the joy and cultural richness of this meaningful occasion.

Reflecting on Easter

As Easter has passed, we reflect on the themes of renewal, hope, and faith that this season brings. It’s a time for personal growth and unity, as we remember the message of love, sacrifice, and rebirth. May this season continue to inspire us in our efforts to build a more inclusive and compassionate world.

Happy May

As we move into May, we embrace the themes of growth, connection, and progress. This month brings an opportunity to reflect on the importance of community, inclusivity, and the ongoing dialogue that helps us thrive together. Let’s continue to be inspired by the work we’ve done and the work yet to come, as we engage in meaningful conversations that build stronger bonds.
