Danish Group Visits Dialogue Society

We were delighted to host a youth group from Denmark at our office, where they came to learn more about the work of the Dialogue Society. During their visit, we presented some of our key projects, including Life of a Chickpea, Talking Bubble, Community Events, and the Journal of Dialogue Studies.
A big thank you to the Denmark Dialogue team for their visit. Here’s to more meaningful dialogue in the future!
Life of a Chickpea at Nelson Mandela School in Birmingham

We had a wonderful Life of a Chickpea presentation at Nelson Mandela School in Birmingham! Year 5 and 6 students enjoyed the story. Special thanks to Mindy Bell from University of Birmingham and Hafiz Nasser Khan from Qadriyah Mosque for their insights.
Prayers of Solidarity
In light of the recent tragic events and the distressing rise in racially motivated violence and division within our community, we believe it is essential to come together in solidarity and prayer via Zoom.
We hosted a Prayers of Solidarity gathering on Sunday, 11th August 2024, at 2 PM. This was a time for us to stand united, offer support to one another, and reaffirm our commitment to building a more inclusive and compassionate society. We received wonderful feedback from faith representatives and extend our thanks to speakers specially Joe Moffatt who chaired the session.
Thanks to the Dialogue Society for providing such a sustaining event this afternoon and to you for inviting my contribution. Hearing and learning from other faith traditions was, as ever, deeply enriching.

This gathering strengthened the bond between the two groups, leaving everyone eager for future collaborations.

Our Leicester Branch had a “Remembering Srebrenica” event. We were honoured to have a genocide expert and a survivor of the Bosnian genocide who shared their invaluable insights and experiences. The core of the event was the reflective discussion on the stages of genocide, which prompted thoughtful dialogue and raised important questions.
