Robin Cooper

Director of Regeneration, Community and Culture for Medway Council

Robin Cooper studied economics and geography at LSE (London School of Economics and Political Science) and then went on to study town and country planning and business administration at Birkbeck College and Westminster University. He has worked on projects for the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and in various posts for the London Borough of Bromley including Head of Heritage and Urban Design. He was Head of Strategic Planning for Canterbury City Council and Director of Development Services at Winchester City Council.

He is currently Director of Regeneration, Community and Culture for Medway Council, a position which includes community safety, emergency planning, planning and environmental services, transportation, front line services, leisure and culture, and delivery of the Thames Gateway regeneration projects. Robin was educated in Kent and lives in the county.
