William Jackson completed a Bachelors degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies at the University of Central Lancashire in 2004 with first class honours. He remained at UCLAN to do an MA (By Research) between 2005-06 entitled’ Immigration, Anti-terrorism and Islam: Capitalist State Control of Muslim Populations in Contemporary Britain’. His PhD research is concerned with the relationship between human rights and security and the liberal state’s management of this relationship post 9/11 in the UK and Australia. He currently Lectures in Social Science at the University of Central Lancashire.
