Abstract

Dialogue Society organises annual dialogue dinners and meetings with people from a wide variety of ethnic traditions. Ramadan is a month when the relationships within and outside the community are strengthened by fasting and breaking the fast.

To reinforce the friendship, and dialogue between diverse communities, we gather in intercultural dinners during Ramadan with people from all walks of life of varied communities and faith groups to emphasize on the values such as mutual understanding, deep respect, love, and peace.

The evening will begin with a short welcome speech followed by a presentation from our volunteers about their recent trip to Kenya during the month of Ramadan, where they will share their enlightening experience and present activities they were involved in.

When it is time to break the fast, guests will listen to the Ezan(call to prayer) and will be served a traditional Turkish Iftar dinner.

The event will end with the comments from the guests and the closing speech.
