Jeremy grew up in Southampton and now lives in Lordswood. His family have lived in the city for several generations. He went to Oakmount School in Highfield, King Edwards VI School in Shirley and then Taunton's College. Jeremy studied Politics at Exeter and then completed his Masters Degree in Banking and Finance at Southampton. Being a city councillor for the last 8 years, representing Freemantle, has given Jeremy a good deal of political experience. Jeremy has been Cabinet Member for Resources and Finance on Southampton City Council with lead responsibility for the city's £500m budget Jeremy has served as the city council's representative on the Hampshire Pension Fund, and is the city council's representative to the Nuffield Theatre. Jeremy is passionate about education and is a school governor for Freemantle Infant School and sits on the Academy Council for Lord’s Hill Academy. He was instrumental in securing £35m of investment for two new city academies and in savi ng the Civil Service Sports Ground in Shirley from development. Jeremy is fighting for a new school as part of plans to save the site. Jeremy works in Basingstoke as a pensions manager for global financial services giant AXA. Upon being selected to fight the Southampton Test seat at the next general election, Jeremy said: "I am determined to be a strong, local voice, fighting for the interests of the city and I will work hard to represent everyone in Southampton. I really care about the area and I will always campaign positively to make it a better place."
