Dr Stephen Barber is a political scientist, author and Senior Lecturer in Public Policy based at London South Bank University. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Global Policy Institute at London Metropolitan University. He has also worked in the European Research Forum. He is a specialist in British public policy and party politics, political economy and has spent 15 years working in the City of London’s financial markets. He holds a BA in Government, a MA in contemporary history and a PhD in political science, awarded by several London universities. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and Member of the Securities and Investment Institute. He has published four books on politics and political economy: Political Strategy; The City in Europe and the World; The Geo-Politics of the City; and Greed (edited with Alex Brassey).
