Prof Ian G. Williams teaches, supervises and researches in Islamic and Religious Studies at the Markfield Institute of Higher Education, Leicester / University of Gloucestershire, UK. Prior to this he has taught at the Universities of Chester, Derby and Birmingham City University. Ian’s research interests include the Fethullah Gulen Movement, Faith Sector education, and Material Religion especially the 19th century pre-Raphaelite School. Ian and his fiancée Patricia, who is a Primary School head teacher, are marrying in August 2012. They share passions for music (classical and jazz), theatre, and travel. They are both members of Birmingham Cathedral.
