This session will explore strategies through which organisations can build connections with media representatives and attain press coverage for news and events. It will look at how to spot newsworthy stories from within your organisation to maximise press coverage and how to become known to journalists and editors.
Mayah Riaz is a former magazine editor and now runs Mayah Consultancy, a PR and Social Media agency representing businesses and high profile personalities. Mayah Consultancy offers PR and social media training, as well as holding networking events. Mayah is also the founder of UK’s National Motivation Day.

Today's world, with its many forms of media, presents a huge range of opportunities for individuals and organisations to convey their message to the public. It also presents significant challenges. Among these are the possibility of misleading media coverage and the need to express an organisation's aims and projects in the succinct and memorable forms demanded by the fast pace of the media world.
