Dialogue’s Apprentice
With the help of Academic Director Dr Cem Erbil and the ‘Community Centres: Branching Out’ Community Dialogue Manual, students prepared to begin organising their very own community dialogue projects in partnership with two London community centres: the Mevlana Rumi Mosque and Dialogue Centre (Edmonton) and Amity Educational Foundation (Redbridge).

London Visits
Students gained a valuable insight into Sikh faith and practice through their visit to the Central Gurdwara, the oldest established Sikh place of worship in Europe. Westminster Community Coordinator Amir Sabanovic also gave them a tour of ‘leafy London’: Kensington, Knightsbridge and Chelsea.

External Event: Holocaust Memorial Day at Islington Town Hall
Some of our students attended Islington Town Hall’s Holocaust Memorial Day ceremony, a moving experience. See Volkan Akdag’s column for more.

External Event: Chinese New Year Celebrations in Manchester
Some of the students visited Manchester for a festive experience of Chinese culture in the UK, seeing in the Year of the Dragon.
