London Visits
The students got a flavour of London politics at the Greater London Assembly, even receiving a special mention from the Chair, Jennette Arnold, and a welcome from the Mayor, Boris Johnson.
The students then visited the Department for Communities and Local Government, where their hosts, including Stuart Hoggan, Deputy Director for Integration, gave very informative presentations on integration, equalities and enterprise and decentralisation. They were able to ask questions and enter into discussion on a range of questions of common concern.
External Event: ‘The Era of Literature in the 21st Century and the Love Theorem.’
Some of the students attended this event with award winning novelist Elif Shafak, who discussed modern life styles and technology, and the value of love, simplicity and living in the moment. The event was held by the Network of Students (NoS) at Kings College London.
