Farewell Dinner with Dialogue Society Team
The students and Dialogue Society staff enjoyed a farewell dinner prepared by kind volunteers, taking time to look back over a highly stimulating nine weeks of exploration, learning, hard work, challenge and achievement. The evening included a photo montage of the placement, live music from Dialogue Society staff and friends and an impressive poem written and recited by one of the students. Academic Director Cem Erbil accepted the gift of a very fine apron on behalf of the Dialogue Society team.

Dialogue School Session 10: Christian Inspiration for Dialogue
Dialogue Society Advisor Dr Michael Barnes of Heythrop College gave the students a fascinating overview of the development of the notion of ‘dialogue’ within the Catholic Church, notably exploring the new outlook that emerged at the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) and the evolution of the idea of ‘dialogue’ in later Church teachings.
Dialogue Society Event: Success School 5, with Serena Bradshaw, Performance Coach
Students helped to prepare for and host a Success School workshop helping young participants to overcome self-doubt and lack of confidence.

London Visits
Students enjoyed a final London trip with Westminster Community Co-ordinator Amir Sabanovic. They explored Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and Canary Wharf.
External Event: Islington Inter Faith Lecture and Debate
Some of the students attended the debate and lecture on ‘The Relevance of Religion Today’ arranged by Islington Faiths Forum and held at Islington Town Hall. The highly distinguished and engaging keynote speaker was Lord Indarjit Singh CBE.
