Abstract

A seminar introducing students to the thought of three significant and diverse dialogue theorists: philosopher Martin Buber, physicist, philosopher and dialogue practitioner David Bohm, and social scientist Daniel Yankelovich. The session will look at what, precisely, each of these thinkers means by the word ‘dialogue’ and how their definition, ideal or vision of dialogue relates to the practice of intercultural dialogue with which organisations like the Dialogue Society are concerned.
