Houndsfield Primary School

Dialogue Society visited Houndsfield Primary School in Enfield, engaging Year 6 students in a thought-provoking assembly as part of The Life of a Chickpea project. The event featured inspiring contributions from Pastor Kyri Yiallouris (Enfield Apostolic Church), Vicar Father Phil Ritchie (St Mary’s Primrose Hill), and Imam Adem Qantar (Rumi Mosque), who offered valuable perspectives on identity, community, and shared values. The session fostered rich dialogue on coexistence and mutual respect, with students actively reflecting on the concepts of identity and diversity. To close, the students enjoyed a vibrant Q&A session and were treated to a symbolic serving of Noah’s Pudding — a delicious reminder of unity through shared traditions. This initiative exemplifies how interfaith dialogue can nurture understanding and inclusivity in young minds, empowering them to appreciate diversity in their own communities.
